Heroic Short Bus.
We've all seen it. The seriously undergeared DK tank. The healer tree that refuses to go into tree form because then they can't dps. The dps that don't know their class from a hole in the ground. Share your fun and exciting random dungeon group stories, let's see how ludicrous these folks can be nowadays.

Re: Heroic Short Bus.
A while back, I was tanking Heroic Pit of Saron with my Paladin, and I believe Nox was along for the ride. It wasn't going real great, partially because two of our DPS members were severely lagging behind. It didn't help that the healer and tank (that is, me) were only adequately geared, either.

There were a few wipes. I'll be the first to admit that some were my fault, but most weren't. Two of the people there were from a single guild on a different server--I honestly don't remember the name of either one, now--and they seemed to be sticking it out. The other group spot dropped a couple of times, one because they had to go to bed, another out of frustration or some other unknown reason.

Finally, after needing 3 attempts to take down Ick and Krick, we decided to wait for the group to fill by farming the trash mobs near the start, the ones most groups normally skip. The mage (who was one of the other-server-same-guild people) blinked around and pulled WAY too many--at least 3-4 groups, far more than the healer could take. I died quick.

And then he had the balls to blame me for pulling them all. His guildie friend backed him up. At this point, I was fed up--the two of them were doing shit for DPS and blaming me for far more than my share of the problems we were having--after all, I know I've tanked PoS before without that many problems. I just couldn't believe the gall of pulling a bunch of shit and blaming ME for it after!

Heh... trust me... I've got plenty of stories... trying to pick a shining one or two is hard.  I'll get back to you later.  XD

Re: Heroic Short Bus.
A few nights ago I was healing H HoR and I kept running out of mana (An amazing feat for a T9-10 tree druid) because our tank was undergeared, but more importantly because our DPS rode the short bus to Icecrown that day. After a couple wipes we all sat down to discuss how much the DPS was sucking and in an effort to prove it, I told them I bet them I could outdps them in my resto specc.

I'm going to leave the rest to your imagination, I'm sure you can figure out who was right.

Re: Heroic Short Bus.
I think my favorite one so far... "favorite" being a choice word, was the Utgard Keep I randomed into as a druid healer. Usually, it's pretty laid back as a druid healer, I'd think....

I check out the tank. 13k health! Great for a 70 non-bear, maybe this'll work out.

They pull the first two. Okay, a bit slow, but we made it okay. Hmm, why am I healing this tank like crazy?

Next pull. 3 guys. Takes forever and I'm spamming my highest rank largest heal. Innervate time, even, which is unheard of. I finally take a look at the tank's gear. Stacking stamina and spell resistance.   o.O   And not just one spell resistance, it looks like he has about 30-60 resistance of each, scattered about his gear. Also, all the other pieces that weren't resist gear were DPS gear. Or agility gear (wtf).

We stop. I say, "Hey, tank, don't you have a defense set?"

Tank: "They took that stat out."

Me: o.O  "But.. you're a warrior.. not a bear"

Needless to say, I didn't stay long. Especially when the arcane mage, the hunter, and the DK that were with us were all doing less DPS than the tank. -.-

Re: Heroic Short Bus.

Okay, so on Hordeside I'm fully geared for ICC-25 but still do my dailies for frost emblems. Decide to jump into a random with some guildies. It's a Mage, a Hunter, and myself the Warlock. A 15 minute wait and we're in Heroic Utguarde Keep. Thinking to myself, "Sweet, easy random today" and maybe I can get that [On the Rocks] achievement finally.

So we'll start by the Priest Healer freaking out because he didn't sign up for achievements and that I should go F myself for not organizing a group on my own. Lovely. Okay, I can deal with not doing the achievement but there's no reason to be a douche about it. Whatever, green light. Let's drop trash. Warrior charges in and pulls the first 2-3 mobs per usual this place. Doing good...doing good...then we realize that the Priest isn't doing crap to keep the tank up. So what happens? The tank stops EVERYTHING to turn and yell at the Priest while he still has these mobs wailing on him.

Tank: "WTF?! Healz plz!"

Priest: "Raid heals, Lock tapped."

I Life-Tapped once to get my buff, but even then why would you go into 'Raid Healing' in a 5-man when the tank is being pounded? Needless to say that between the Priest not healing the tank and the Tank stopping all logical action to yell at the Priest, the Tank died fairly quick. So what happens? That's right. The good ol' Warlock Aggro-Magnet has 10 baddies chasing after him. I make towards the entrance of the instance like Michael Phelps after a gold medal. No bueno and I'm cleaved in half. Priest decided to stop 'Raid Healing' to yell at the Tank for losing aggro...when he died. The Hunter is next, followed by the Priest, and then the Mage drops.

I can one-shot Festergut but I get wiped on the first mob in Utguarde Keep. Freakin' awesome.

So the Priest drops group and all is dandy. The Tank is mad, but he sticks it out and my guildies are laughing it up in our guild chat. New healer, it's go time! Warrior charges in and takes the mobs. 2 baddies down, 3...4.... So far so good.

Tank: "See ya."

The tank actually turns and does a charge on a beetle or something and runs out of the instance, then drops group. What. The. Hell. Luckily, that good ol' Lock Aggro-Magnetism kicks in and we manage to keep the mobs busy. New Healer is a Tree so thank the heavens above he kept us up while we dropped the last part of this disaster mob. Still at the beginning of the instance mind-you.

So we pug for about 5 minutes and get a new tank. All is well after that and I even got my [On The Rocks] achievement. Good times with great oldies. I need more guildie tanks.
